Kneeboard: Surface 720

Now, here is another one for the beginners: IT IS easy to do and WILL make you look that bit better thAn YOUR average Joe. The best thing about this trick is that if you can do a 360, you are halfway there. This trick can be done inside the wake or outside the wake, BUT As in these pictures, it looks way better outside the wake as you go past a photographer.

The biggest advantage to this trick is to be good at your 360. Once you are good at them, all you need to do is keep going and do two 360s in a row to do the 720.

To get this trick to look good, you need to stay centred on the board and pass the handle behind your back in a smooth flowing motion. Our aim is to join two 360s in to one trick, so we don’t want to stop after we finish the first 360. We want to make our second 360 flow straight through.

The biggest problem people have with this trick is getting the handle, so we want to start with the overhand grip, and as we start the trick we will let go with one hand and look in that direction. This will  help start us to spin. Now we need to bring the handle into our lower back.  Grab the handle with your other hand and let go with the first hand that had the handle. Now, you should be spinning back to face forward, but don’t forget we are doing a 720 now, not a 360! So as we come around to the front position, we are going to pass the handle and repeat the 360, passing the handle behind our backs. And then as we get to the front position, hold on with both hands again and ride away!

If you’re having trouble and keep falling off, it’s most probably because you’re not staying centred on the board as you pass the handle.

If your having trouble getting the handle, it’s because your not passing it to the bottom of your back.
