The first Perth Night Jump hailed a success despite the dodgy weather. Rough conditions for Saturday’s final under lights meant the scores from Friday’s preliminary round of jumping were used to decide the winner.
US jump legend Freddy Kreuger had recorded a 66m jump on Friday, ensuring first place. Ryan Dodd and Scott Ellis, two other huge names on the international jump circuit, tied for second place.
The Herrisson Island Tournament Waterski Club held the event near Burswood. It was well supported by a strong crowd, and received great feedback from the international skiers.
A slalom comp (won by Perth’s own comeback kid Vannesa Leopold) and ski shows also kept the crowd entertained.
